Update for orange brick house with brown roof?

I recently remodeled the inside and now I am ready to update the outside. Suggestions needed! The Hickory brown roof is new and is a dark orange/rust color. White trim and white gutters also must stay. Open to painting the brick with Benjamin Moore colors since I can get Romabio masonry paint in those colors or keep the orange brick and find a great accent color for shutters and door. We want something happy/welcoming. I would also like some sort of porch or an update to the stoop. Please send ideas!!

The color really depends on your likes/dislikes. Here's a link with lots of possibilities:

you could paint the brick or white wash it and then pick a trim color to go with the doors and windows black and dark brown are the colors many folks are using now with white or off white houses

Sherwin Williams said they would dye the masonry paint for me in ANY color I wanted. As far as a porch bear in mind that it will block the light from whatever window you put it in front of. I wold add shutters to the other windows. Add a porch to the left side of the picture and leave part of it with no roof and add a place between the front door and the first window covered so you have the best of both worlds. Sun and cover from the rain if you want to sit outside. Put plants to the right side of the picture under the single window or shrubs like azelea. Add a path to the center area with the rock and add a bench.
The new technology of using color "visualizers" are a wonderful way to decide on the colors that work well together and that you like best.
the visualizers don't seem to show the true paint colors due to the color of the brick altering the colors.
I bet it would look amazing in a dark gray!
I think painting the brick to highlight the rock work will be a great improvement. I would probably go with a natural stain wood shutter. I know that whitewash is very popular but not sure if that would be too much white. Perhaps a deep green.
You can go with a dark gray, green, or a white wash. The color of the paint you'll using can also depend whether it complements your roof.
Medium to dark gray would be attractive, then decide on the trim and door colors.
The tricky part about painting exterior brick is then maintaining it. My suggestion is to do everything you can around it such as shutters, window boxes, plantings in various heights, painting other items, a porch with an awning of sorts, and such first before painting the brick. Try working with the color first and you may find it pans out.
Hi Sonya: I think some larger bushes near the house would look good. Also, have you considered enlarging the porch to make something like a deck? If this is the front of the house, I don't see a path leading to the door :( While the rocks are nice, they are pretty straight. Maybe a curved look would be nice, and something taller. Here are some sites that show houses that are nothing like yours:), but the landscaping may be something you would be interested in. Why don't they ever show every day houses and not all of these wonderful expensive houses? Oh well....

Good luck
First power wash the bricks and let dry to see the true color. I would paint it gray and white. Your roof does not have to match the paint. I would also put charcoal gray shutters on the windows.

Canopy over the Step to make a real entrance porch. Olive Green Shutters and soom window boxes of plants.
What ever color you decide please don't paint the stone on the side of the front door.
My house has similar colors. I did red and white for my trim colors. Plus added the fences.
I would go with white wash or German schmear.
Before you do anything else you need to move the front door away from the picture window. The windows are not balanced at all. The curb appeal is the most needy not the roof. Or perhaps get rid of the very dated picture window and put in a window like the ones already on the house the proper distance away from the front door. The front door needs enhancement. It could be adorable with the right cosmetic changes to the front facade.
